PCR means Polymerase Chain Reaction, also known as quantitative polymerase chain reaction. It is a molecular biology based on the polymerase chain reaction.
The aim of microbial testing in the diagnosis of severe periodontitis is to establish the composition of the subgingival plaque. Detection of marker bacteria, as well as the dertermination of the proportions of these microbial species is essential.
The plaque sample is analysed at our certified, bacteriological laboratory and assessed by a team of experts, such as microbiologists and periodontists. You will receive scientifically sound advice on supporting the treatment with an antibiotic, if necessary.
